Welcome to the Golden Paws Home Master Waitlist page! If you are ready to take the next step toward bringing home a golden retriever puppy from our family to yours, you have come to the right place. Our Master Waitlist is the gateway to puppy selection and the first step in your adoption journey.
Because we are a small, family-oriented breeder with only one to two litters per year, demand for our puppies consistently exceeds supply. The Master Waitlist ensures that families who are committed to adopting from us have fair and equitable access to available puppies based on when they joined the waitlist.
WHY JOIN THE MASTER WAITLIST?
Priority Access: Waitlist members receive first access to information about new litters and priority consideration during puppy selection.
Regular Updates: Stay informed about upcoming litters, birth announcements, and puppy development through our exclusive waitlist communications.
Matching Consideration: Your place on the waitlist determines when you are contacted for puppy matching consultations.
Demonstrated Commitment: Joining the waitlist shows us you are serious about providing a loving home to one of our puppies, which we greatly appreciate.
Peace of Mind: Once you are on the waitlist, you can relax knowing you are in the queue and will be considered for current and future litters.
WAITLIST DETAILS
Reservation Fee: $300.00 (-Refundable)
Total Puppy Price: $750.00 (Reservation fee applies toward total)
Waitlist Duration: Varies based on demand and litter availability (typically 6-12 months)

Important Notes:
The reservation fee is Refundable. Please be certain of your commitment before joining.
Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a specific puppy but guarantees consideration based on your position.
If no suitable puppy becomes available within one year, we will discuss options including extending your waitlist position or processing a refund at our discretion.
The remaining balance of $450 is due at the time you take possession of your puppy.
HOW THE WAITLIST WORKS
Step 1: Complete Application
Submit your adoption application through our website. We will review it within 1 to 2 business days.
Step 2: Receive Approval
If your application is approved, you will receive an invitation to join the Master Waitlist with instructions for submitting the reservation fee.
Step 3: Pay Reservation Fee
Submit your Refundable reservation fee of $250 through our secure payment portal. Your waitlist position is based on the date we receive your completed application AND fee.
Step 4: Receive Waitlist Confirmation
We will confirm your waitlist position and provide your waitlist number. You are now officially on the list!
Step 5: Stay Informed
Watch for email updates about upcoming litters, birth announcements, and important information. We typically communicate with waitlist families several times throughout the year.
Step 6: Puppy Selection
When a litter is born and reaches 5-6 weeks of age, we contact families in waitlist order to begin the matching process. This is where you will work with us to select the perfect puppy for your family.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WAITLIST
Q: How is my waitlist position determined?
A: Your position is determined by the date we receive your COMPLETED application AND your reservation fee. Both must be received to secure your place.
Q: Can I check my waitlist position?
A: Absolutely! You can contact us anytime to inquire about your current position. We are happy to provide updates.
Q: What happens if I need to delay my puppy search?
A: Please let us know! We can adjust your status to “inactive” and reactivate you when you are ready, preserving your original position.
Q: Do I lose my place if I decline a puppy from a litter?
A: No! If no puppy in a particular litter is a good match for your family, you maintain your waitlist position for future litters. We only want you to take a puppy when it is the right fit.
Q: Can I join the waitlist for a specific gender or color?
A: Yes! When you apply, you can indicate your preferences. We will note these in your file and consider them during matching. However, we cannot guarantee specific genders or colors will be available.
Q: Is the reservation fee really Refundable?
A: Yes, the fee is non-refundable to demonstrate serious commitment. Please be sure you are ready to join before submitting payment.
Q: What if I join the waitlist and then find a puppy elsewhere?
A: We understand that families sometimes find other options. If you no longer wish to remain on our waitlist, please let us know so we can offer your spot to another waiting family. The reservation fee remains non-refundable.

Please Note: Personal checks are not accepted for reservation fees. Payment must be received before your waitlist position is confirmed.
