IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU APPLY
PUPPY PRICE: $850.00 (Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars)
RESERVATION FEE REQUIREMENT:
To be considered for any available puppy or future litter, you must first join our Master Waitlist. Joining the waitlist requires a refundable reservation fee of 350. This fee demonstrates your serious commitment to adopting a puppy from Golden Paws Home and reserves your place in line for puppy selection.
What the Reservation Fee Covers:
Secures your position on our Master Waitlist
Provides access to our puppy selection process
Gives you priority consideration for current and future litters
Goes directly toward the total purchase price of $850
Includes you in our email updates about litter progress and availability
Important Notes About the Reservation Fee:
The reservation fee is non-refundable. Please be certain of your commitment before submitting payment.
If no puppy becomes available that meets your preferences within one year, we will discuss options including extending your waitlist position or processing a refund at our discretion.
The reservation fee does not guarantee you a specific puppy but guarantees you consideration for puppy selection based on your place on the waitlist.
All remaining balance ($600) is due at the time you take possession of your puppy.
OUR PUPPY PLACEMENT PHILOSOPHY
At Golden Paws Home, we do not operate on a simple first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we carefully match puppies with families based on a variety of factors:
Temperament Matching: We observe each puppy’s developing personality and work to place them in homes where their temperament will thrive. A more confident, independent puppy might do well in a busy home with older children, while a gentler, more sensitive puppy might be better suited to a quieter environment or a family with younger children.
Family Lifestyle: We consider your family’s activity level, work schedules, living situation, and experience with dogs. A highly active family might be matched with an energetic puppy, while a more sedentary household might receive a calmer, more laid-back individual.
(Note: Puppies are listed with temporary names for identification. Families who adopt may choose to rename their puppy.)

PUPPY SELECTION PROCESS
Step 1: Join the Master Waitlist
Submit your application and reservation fee to secure your position. We will confirm receipt and provide your waitlist number.
Step 2: Litter Announcement
When a litter is born, all families on the waitlist receive an announcement with birth details, photos, and estimated availability dates.
Step 3: Puppy Development Updates
We provide weekly updates with photos and videos so you can watch the puppies grow and begin to see their personalities emerge.
Step 4: Selection Week
At approximately 5-6 weeks of age, we begin the matching process. Families are contacted in waitlist order to discuss their preferences and learn about available puppies. We work together to find the perfect match.
Step 5: Reservation Confirmation
Once a match is made, we confirm the reservation with your deposit (already paid) and provide detailed information about preparing for your puppy’s arrival.
Step 6: Go Home Day
At 8 weeks of age, you pick up your puppy! We provide all health records, microchip information, a starter kit, and a lifetime of love and support.

Comprehensive Health Records: Including vaccination records, deworming schedule, and veterinary examination certificate
Microchip: Pre-registered with your information (you will complete transfer of ownership)
AKC Registration Papers: Limited registration (puppy cannot be bred)
Health Guarantee: Written guarantee covering genetic health conditions
Puppy Starter Kit: Sample of current food, favorite toy, blanket with mother’s scent, and care instructions

Q: How do I know which puppy is right for my family?
A: We are here to help! We observe our puppies daily and get to know their individual personalities. During selection week, we discuss your family’s lifestyle, preferences, and experience to recommend puppies who would thrive in your home.
Q: Can I visit the puppies before choosing?
A: Yes! We welcome visits by appointment, particularly after puppies are 5-6 weeks old and have received their first vaccinations. Visits are scheduled individually to ensure safety and minimize stress on the puppies.
Q: What if the puppy I want is already reserved?
A: This is why the Master Waitlist is so important! Families on the waitlist have first choice of available puppies. If your preferred puppy is reserved, we will work with you to find another wonderful match or discuss options for future litters.
Q: Do you ship puppies?
A: We prefer in-person pickup whenever possible. This allows us to meet you, ensures you see where your puppy was raised, and reduces stress on the puppy. In exceptional circumstances, we may discuss ground transport options, but we do not ship puppies by air.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept cash, bank wire transfer, or certified funds for the final payment. The reservation fee can be paid via credit card through our secure website, bank transfer, or certified funds.
